Ashley Allen - CrossFit Good LifeASHLEY ALLEN

Co-Owner, Coach, Director Of Training

Certifications:

CrossFit Level 1

Education/Experience:

” I grew up here in Peachtree City. I attended McIntosh High School and went on to study Communications at The University of Alabama. I then married my husband Ryan and opened my own business at the age of 23. I have always been active and had an interest in the health and beauty industry. I began CrossFit after having my second little girl and desired a healthy way of life, not just a quick fix of losing baby weight, but a true change that would provide balance for me physically, emotionally, and mentally. Shortly after joining Good Life I knew that I was committed. I have never looked back and never will. I began to see an opportunity to combine my desire to help others and to further my growth at CrossFit. My goal is to use this opportunity to give others confidence in their abilities and to strive for more every day.”

Co-Owner, Coach, Director Of Training

Certifications:

CrossFit Level 1

Education/Experience:

“I have always had an interest in health and fitness since I was a young girl.  Growing up in Athens, Georgia I played high school sports and was active through college playing intramural sports  and running.  I attended Georgia College and State University for my prerequisite studies then graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.  Prior to CrossFit I was an avid runner and participated in many road races each year.  In addition to running I spent many hours in a traditional gym taking a variety of classes and even having a personal trainer.  I tried CrossFit for the first time at Good Life and felt as though I was experiencing a fitness awakening.  It didn’t take long for me to realize CrossFit was just what I was looking for.  It was the perfect blend and balance of cardiovascular and weight training.  My body began the transformation I had been seeking for many years. I was eager to share my love for CrossFit and became a coach.  As a coach helping people accomplish things they never thought imaginable is what keeps me motivated everyday.”

Jonathan Payne - CrossFit Good LifeJONATHAN PAYNE

Coach

Certifications:

CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Registered Judge

Education/Experience:

”I have always enjoyed sports and games alike. As a kid, I played everything from travel soccer to travel ice hockey. I was the captain of my high school hockey team where we won the State Championship in only our second year of existence. I went on to attend the University of Georgia where I also played hockey for some of my time there. Competing in sports has taught me not only the importance of fitness, but also the importance of leadership, communication and teamwork. I started Crossfit as a means to amp up my strength and conditioning program for hockey. I immediately fell in love with the process and knew that one day I wanted to become a coach in order to help others grow as athletes the same way my coaches have for me over the years.”

Robert Johnson - CrossFit Good LifeROBERT JOHNSON

Coach

Certifications:

CrossFit Level 1

Education/Experience:

”Fitness and sports have been a central priority throughout my life. I was involved year-round with a variety of team and individual sports from a young age. As I grew soccer became a heavy focal activity competing on traveling teams, varsity high school and in college. I began strength and conditioning in high school incorporating weight lifting and running. My quest for improved fitness intensified through my service in the United States Marine Corps – it’s also where I likely picked up my coaching demeanor.

I started CrossFit in February of2014 at CrossFit Good Life with a goal of being “fit at 50”. I competed in my first CrossFit Open that same year and haven’t looked back. My fitness for life vision today includes much more than just hitting the gym but also incorporates diet, rest, mobility, along with growth spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.

I travel frequently for work and drop in at different boxes around the country each week. This has afforded me the opportunity to be exposed to varied coaching styles and approaches that I incorporate into my classes. My passions and pursuits beyond the gym include outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, hiking and family. “

Luke Johnson - CrossFit Good LifeLUKE JOHNSON

Coach

Certifications:

CrossFit Level 1

Education/Experience:

”Growing up I was involved in a variety of sports. My parents were always trying to keep my sisters and me as active as possible and team sports were a huge part of our lives. Soccer was my main activity up to my freshman year of high school when I started running.

At first running was a side activity that I used to stay in shape for soccer, but then I continued to improve and became interested in competing. I joined my high school track team as a distance runner and fell in love with the sport. I began cross country that next year to supplement my fitness. We moved to Georgia in 2012 during my sophomore year of high school and my interest in weightlifting sparked. I began with simple bodybuilding to increase my strength while running. After getting bored with the same routine, I decided to try my first CrossFit WOD in my school’s weight room. I never turned back. By the time I graduated I was a full-time CrossFit athlete with a goal to improve my knowledge of the sport of fitness and use that knowledge to better people’s lives.

I am currently a student at Georgia College and State University majoring in Exercise Science with a focus in Performance and Fitness. I have been training CrossFit for over four years and coaching for almost three years. Health and Wellness are my passion and I hope to make a positive impact on other’s lives with fitness.”
